For
more than 50 years, FabEnCo has produced a wide array of fabricated
metal products for various industries. We do this in an employee-oriented
culture. In 1945, Donald V. Henderson (1921-2001) founded Central
Iron Works, Inc. In 1960, he befriended Hardy L. LaCook, Jr.
P.E. (1928-2000) and participated with him in founding FabEnCo,
Inc. in August 1965. These two companies merged in 1977 to facilitate
the retirement of Mr. Henderson.
From ornamental iron products for home construction in the
40’s and 50’s, guardrail and highway posts for
freeway projects, as well as flood control structures for
the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the 60’s and 70’s,
through custom ASME vessels for the refining and petrochemical
industry during the 70’s and 80’s, to the manufacture
of oil and gas process equipment in the 80’s and 90’s,
and now, for more than 30 years, the FabEnCo Self-Closing
Safety Gate, our mission has been the same.
We are Employee/Owners motivated to design, develop, manufacture
and successfully market quality fabricated metal products
to value-oriented customers. We pursue this objective in a
pleasant work environment that emphasizes employee safety
and personal growth, conservation of our ecosystem, and adherence
not only to existing codes and legal statutes but also to
a higher personal standard of right and wrong.
All employees at FabEnCo must strive to be LEADERS.
We are Loyal to all stakeholders in our business
and demonstrate a high standard of Ethics…the
Golden Rule. A positive Attitude, characterized
as “are we having fun, yet?” ensures that we will
be Dedicated to doing the best job possible,
while being Empathetic in resolving any issues.
We Recognize those who truly exemplify these
core values, while maintaining the highest levels of Safety
in our organization.
First funded in 1991 as a Profit Sharing Plan, the FabEnCo
Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) purchased controlling
interest of FabEnCo, Inc. in 1998. This completed our business
succession transfer from the “Founding Fathers”
generation of Don, Hardy and their co-workers to myself, David
LaCook, and the many descendents of that generation employed
here today.
If you have any questions, please call us at 1-800-962-6111,
and remember, whoever answers the call is not just an employee…that
person is an Owner!
